Awarding Night IPSMF Telkom University Tahun Ke-7 Kirimkan Piala Hingga Asia Barat

Saturday, November 26th 2022, at the Telkom University Auditorium, the main event series of IPSMF (International Photography and Short Movie Festival) was successfully carried out starting with the Talkshow in the morning and continued with the Awarding Night in the evening. IPSMF itself is an international event which is expected to become a competition activity that facilitates the abilities of photo and film creators, a vehicle for exchanging ideas for fellow photo and film enthusiasts, and of course as a means of conveying photo and film works to the public.

This year IPSMF has entered its 7th year and has succeeded in entering the TOP 10 of the Bandung 2022 event calendar. With a total of 4,280 submissions from India and internationally, with details of 3,306 short film categories and 972 photography categories, with 3 countries with the most most send works between India, Iran, and India.

This event starts at 18.00 WIB, with an opening by the MC to signal the start of the event. Then continued with the screening of the opening video #INDONESIABANGET which was made specifically for the 7th IPSMF event. The event continued with singing the song Indonesia Raya and the Telkom University hymn, then continued with various words from Prof. Adiwijaya as Chancellor of Telkom University and continued by Dr. H. Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, BBA, MBA as Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia appreciated IPSMF activities as a medium for conveying creative ideas through photography and short films.

In the middle of the event was interspersed with entertainment in the form of a typical Sundanese dance performance, “Rampak Kendang” as a representation of the big theme of this year’s IPSMF namely “Cultural Appreciation Through Creation”. A theme that raises the statement that in this digitalization era we can express culture through the development of digitalization to welcome the future. Because cultures exist face to face, side by side, and are real as part of our shared future.

The first winner reading starts from the photography category for students & general category. The reading for 3rd place winner in the student photography category was read by Indria Angga Dianita as the coordinator of the marketing division, and was won by Dimas Prayoga from Indonesia with his work “The Crowd And My Private Space”. And the reading of the 2nd place winner in the student photography category was read by Abdul Fadli as the coordinator of the media partner division, and won by M Rafli Lianto from Indonesia with the work “Pacu Jawi Tanah Datar”. Finally, the reading for the 1st place winner in the student category was read by Pradipta Dirgantara as the secretary of the Bachelor of Communication Science study program, and was won by Hamed Asgharzadeh Marghmaleki from Iran with his work “Social Documentary 2”.

Next is the reading of the photography champion in the general category. The reading for the 3rd place winner in the general photography category was read by Jalesia Putri as the event division coordinator, and won by Khairul Mustofa from Indonesia with his work “SLEEP”. And the reading of the 2nd place winner in the general photography category was read by Syahputra as the head of the Business Administration S1 study program, and won by Maizal Chaniago from Indonesia with his work “Silek Jarami”. Finally, the announcement of the 1st place winner in the general photography category was read by Adrio Kusmareza Adim during the 2022 IPSMF review, and was won by 虎 肖 from China with his work “The Road to Other Places”.

This was followed by the reading of the short film winners in the categories of Best Fiction, Best Documentary and Best Cinematography. The reading of the Best Fictional Film read by Itca Istia Wahyuni as secretary of the Communication Studies undergraduate study program and Reni Nuraeni as head of the Digital Public Relations undergraduate study program, and was won by Ahmad Faiz from Indonesia with the title “BASIYAT (Bathe My Corpse with Wine). He was awarded the Best Documentary award which was read by Tjandra Wibowo and Devo Virgiawan as representatives of the State Film Production Corporation or PFN which was won by Ali Mohammed al Hamami from Iraq with the title “The Marshes of Iraq”. The last reading was Best Cinematography read by Ade Irma Susanty as dean of the Faculty of Communication & Business and Ayub Ilfandy Imran as deputy dean 2 of the Faculty of Communication & Business, and was won by Aldis Elwan from Indonesia with the title “Waiting For Your Phone Call”. After the announcement of the winners, IPSMF held a quiz with prizes about the IPSMF event sponsored by Airin Beauty Clinic and Jonas Photo.

In the last activity, it was closed with the appearance of a guest star, Manshur Angklung who performed more than 3 songs with traditional nuances combined with modern which really fit the cultural theme of IPSMF. The closing performance made the atmosphere even more lively, which was enjoyed by the participants, committee members, and invited guests who attended the Telkom University Auditorium.
